Hybristophilia

Hi this is Dizzy, and I can't sleep so I'm going to make a video. I'm making a video about something a lot of people don't know about. And this would be…something I don't even know how to pronounce. But I'm going to say hybristophilia and hybristophiles. It's in the same paraphilia area as necrophilia and other things that people are interested in sexually.

I found a site that explains a lot of the causes and more in depth things about this fetish, if that's what you want to call it. Hybristophiliacs are people who are sexually aroused and attracted to people who have committed cruel, gruesome crimes such as murder/rape. It occurs more often in women than in men - of course women are going to be more attracted or are will be more likely to be serial killer groupies… And there are two types of hybristophiles. I hate this word so much.

There's a passive type, and this is what seems more like a groupie to me. Every year, notorious criminals will get romantic letters and love letters while they're on death row or even just regular prison. They get fanmail, usually from women. These people are attracted to such men. They usually have a delusion that that person will never hurt them…which is definitely a delusion because these people tend to be psychopaths and of course, they don't care about you. A lot of them have a delusion that they could change their partner. But they also tend to put themselves in situations where they can be manipulated and lied to and used. So I suppose, you know…they kind of deserve it. But there's underlying reasons.

And then there's the aggressive hybristophile. Aggressive hybristophiles are the opposite of the prior… they are willing to help out in any way the person that they're infatuated with who is obviously a violent criminal. They will hide bodies, they will do anything to cover up any crime, they will be their alibi. Most the time they don't quite understand that the person they're infatuated with truly is a psychopath; perhaps they don't they don't realize what a psychopath really is as far as a lack of a conscience. And the aggressive type, I believe can be pretty much more…dangerous a person.

So, both types are prone to anything bad in relationships, particularly to be abused. There are Eminem songs. A good example of a modern day person who is characterized in the media as being a hybristophile would be Harley Quinn from Batman.

Okay, and there are some causes for this paraphilia, and hybristophiliacs are often seen as submissive victims by some professionals. And I personally believe along with many others that hybristophiles are narcissist enablers who are attracted to power. So they are Narcissists with a victim and submissive like quality to them.

Of course, women will often see someone who is strong, violent, and charming - as someone who is ideally masculine, a stereotypical guy. They display power, roughness, brutality - this is how many end up with a serial killer groupie. And many have had such, as Ted Bundy, Jeffrey Dahmer, albeit he was gay, Gacy for some reason, ugh, I don't know why. But there's something extremely male about violent crimes and I think this goes back to biology, in which someone who displayed these tendencies of psychopathy would be the best person to actually be with as a mate. Because they would just protect you, so think about that.

Hybristophilia

There's been interviews of hybristophiles and the women that were interviewed tend to be extremely normal, have extremely normal jobs, although many of the women were found to have a history of abusive or violent relationships. So, having an attraction to serial killers, murderers of any type, isn't really as weird as some people think it is. Because women are known to have an obsession with the "bad boy" type, and that persona, so this is just such as to an extreme. It's not very well known, that this is a paraphilia, and I don't really see the point in raising awareness about it, I just wanted to make a video about it because no one knows what it is. I mean I don't even know how to pronounce it. So, there you go. Why do you think so many people are obsessed with "Dexter" and other shows like that. That's what it is - it's fictional, but it's the same thing really.

Anyway that's all for now, and do some reading on it. If you find anything extraordinarily interesting in nature, please post a comment, so that I can go read it, or watch it. Thank you, have a good night, or morning.
